About the Artist
Betsy Baytos is an award-winning artist whose extraordinary art career began at Disney Studios at just 18 years old, contributing to beloved films including The Rescuers,, The Fox and the Hound, Pete’s Dragon, Mickey’s Christmas Carol, and The Princess and the Frog. Jim Henson then featured her ‘Betsy Bird’ character creation on the Muppet Show in London. She later went on to help shape iconic character brands and licensing campaigns, including the famous Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville parrot and the Coca-Cola Polar Bears.
Passionate about the natural world, Betsy has also collaborated with Jane Goodall on conservation-centered storytelling projects that inspire connection, understanding, and care for our planet.
Betsy’s latest venture is a nonprofit using her art to benefit conservation. Please join us in not only celebrating her but partnering with her in her efforts to bring awareness and create funding to support conservation efforts in our world today.
