Files need to be at least 1mb in size. Files smaller than 1mb won’t have sufficient resolution. If you are a using a digital camera, consult your manual and put your camera on the highest resolution settings. This can also be true for some smart phones.

Please, no screenshots. Screenshots are inherently low resolution and will not work. The same goes for photos pulled from social media, such as Instagram or Facebook. 

We also suggest making sure the photo itself is in focus.

We only accepts .jpg and .gif files.

• Zooming in with a camera phone
• Cropping an image too much
• Inadequate lighting
• Camera (or subject) not in focus
• Use of some filters

Consider your image chopped up into either two or five hundred pieces! Is there a good color range? What about plenty of textures/patterns? Too much blue sky or foliage can make for especially frustrating puzzles.Too much plain white area makes the cut lines stand out and detracts from the puzzle image.  Please avoid large white areas.  The best custom puzzles have a range of colors and textures, a balance of composition, and fun subject matter!

No. All custom puzzles are rectangular in shape. Irregular shaped puzzles or puzzles with borders are not available.

No. We will find which cut patterns will fit the aspect ratio of your image, and then we pick the one that best fits the theme of your photo. We have 1000s of templates with fun whimsies that are sure to complement your photo. Custom whimsy shapes requests are not offered.

Yes. If you buy additional copies of the same size custom puzzle, you save $45 on each additional copy. If you do so when you first place the order, the discount will be automatically applied at checkout. If you decide you want another copy down the road, please reach out to customer service and they will help you receive the discount.

Custom puzzle orders take longer than our regular puzzles, usually 1-2 weeks. As such, if you order a custom puzzle and a regular puzzle, we will ship them together in 1-2 weeks. If you want your regular puzzle as soon as possible, you will need to place two different orders.
